La rumeur courrait depuis quelques temps avec l’annonce de Captain America 3 : Civil War. Sony Pictures et Marvel Studios étaient en négociation pour intégrer l’homme araignée dans l’univers cinématographique Marvel (MCU). Des rumeurs qui n’avaient jamais été confirmées avant maintenant.
Suite à un communiqué de presse de Sony Pictures, on apprend qu’un deal a été signé entre les deux maisons de productions afin d’intégrer Spiderman dans l’univers Marvel.
Récapitulons les informations :
– Spiderman apparaîtra bientôt dans un film Marvel intégré dans l’univers.
– Sony Pictures produira un nouvel opus de la nouvelle franchise Spiderman pour le 28 juillet 2017. Un film qui sera produit par Kevin Feige, producteur chez Marvel Studios, Sony Pictures et Amy Pascal, ancienne présidente de Sony Pictures.
– Marvel et Sony Pictures réfléchissent à intégrer les personnages du MCU dans les prochains films de la franchise Spiderman.
– Sony Pictures continuera de financer, distribuer et posséder tous les droits concernant les personnages de la franchise Spiderman.
Maintenant les interrogations de ces nouvelles :
– Pour ce qui s’agit de l’intégration de Spiderman dans le MCU, le choix est assez rapide. Avengers 2 sortant dans 80 jours, cela risque peut-être d’être un peu juste pour intégrer le personnage (même si cela pourrait être possible). Les prochains films Marvel avant 2017 sont : Ant-Man, Doctor Strange of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 ou Captain America 3 : Civil War. Sachant que le personnage fait partie de l’intrigue de ce dernier, il y a de bonnes chances de le voir apparaître avant son film solo dans le prochain Captain America 3.
– Sony Pictures, dans son communiqué, laisse penser que la nouvelle franchise Spiderman serait un reboot. Donc exit Andrew Garfield, Mark Webb, etc. Si c’est vraiment le cas, nous avons envie de dire : bonne nouvelle. Les deux derniers films Spiderman n’étant pas excellents, il y a que du bon de repartir à zéro, sachant que le film sera épaulé par la machine Marvel à sa sortie. Mais qui pour remplacer Andrew Garfield et devenir l’homme araignée ?
– On se demande aussi les tenants de ce deal qui intervient quelques jours après « l’éviction » de Amy Pascal du post de PDG de Sony Pictures Studios et qui apparaît pourtant en tant que productrice du film Spiderman prévu pour 2017… On se demande si le deal n’a pas été négocié avant son départ et si ça ne faisait pas partie de son package de départ… On peut aussi se demander la participation de Avi Arad, producteur de longue date des films Spiderman dans ces nouvelles concernant le super-héros…
– Quid des films de l’univers Spideman qui étaient prévus ? Sinister Six pour novembre 2016 ? Selon WSG, Sony Pictures a décidé de stopper le développement afin de réfléchir pour ce film. (Peut-être une condition de Marvel dans le contrat…) Et on espère aussi que le film spin-off sur tante May a été lui aussi « annulé ».
Qu’est-ce que ça change pour l’univers cinématographique Marvel ?
Suite à cette annonce de nouveaux films Spiderman, Marvel a changé son calendrier de sortie afin de pouvoir intégrer le nouveau Spiderman dans son univers. Voici les changements :

Marvel’s Kevin Feige to Produce Next Installment of the Spider-Man Franchise with Amy Pascal
(Culver City, California, and Burbank, California February 09, 2015) – Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Studios announced today that Sony is bringing Marvel into the amazing world of Spider-Man.
Under the deal, the new Spider-Man will first appear in a Marvel film from Marvel’s Cinematic Universe (MCU). Sony Pictures will thereafter release the next installment of its $4 billion Spider-Man franchise, on July 28, 2017, in a film that will be co-produced by Kevin Feige and his expert team at Marvel and Amy Pascal, who oversaw the franchise launch for the studio 13 years ago. Together, they will collaborate on a new creative direction for the web slinger. Sony Pictures will continue to finance, distribute, own and have final creative control of the Spider-Man films.
Marvel and Sony Pictures are also exploring opportunities to integrate characters from the MCU into future Spider-Man films.
The new relationship follows a decade of speculation among fans about whether Spider-Man – who has always been an integral and important part of the larger Marvel Universe in the comic books – could become part of the Marvel Universe on the big screen. Spider-Man has more than 50 years of history in Marvel’s world, and with this deal, fans will be able to experience Spider-Man taking his rightful place among other Super Heroes in the MCU.
